Orya Maqbool Jan is not a Meddarsah graduate; neither part of any religious organisation nor does he talk on gaining any personal material objective. He is a well-known intellectual and a government officer who was upright during his services. Today he is honest in sharing his opinions. Just like any other individual he has the right to express his views, and by using that right he questioned Q-mobile Ad and referred it as vulgar based on the past action of Pakistan’s censor board. This is just a normal objection and he had expressed his opinions against vulgarity in the past as well. But this time after his opinion on Q-mobile ad was publicised; we saw matchless opposition & campaign against his personality & his personal life.
The liberal/secular community in Pakistan could not come up with better reasoning, so they start bashing Orya Maqbool Jan on his statement against Q-mobile ad. If they think the argument of Orya was wrong or weak, & that the ad was not vulgar, they should try to bring a new definition of vulgar (Fe’hash) from Pakistan’s cultural or religious sources and would have tried to refute his claim. Instead of tackling Orya Jan rationally the educated liberal class of Pakistan started bashing him on personal basis. Some so called intellectuals on the recorded TV show; twisted his name “Orya” with “Oryaniat” while others on social media called him “perverted old dirty man” and few posted highly objectionable mockery regarding his birth or delivery.
