Punjab Women Hockey Association (PWHA) has lauded the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) for doing all-out efforts for the promotion of women players in the country.
According to PWHA Secretary Rahat Khan, the PHF is doing maximum efforts for the promotion of women hockey in the country.
“A training camp is being organised for the women players in August after a gap of three to four years,” she said.
She said that the previous federation was not working on women hockey as compared to the current federation.
“The current PHF management wants to promote gender equality in the game,” she said.
She said this year the women players will also participate in the Asian qualifying round. “A national championship for women will also be held in Karachi in August,” she said.
