The residents of Rawalpindi city and adjoining areas thronged different parks to enjoy the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Families along with children were seen at the city parks and picnic spots. There was also rush at restaurants to enjoy dishes of different kinds.
On Thursday, a large number of families and children were enjoying free time at Nawaz Sharif Park, Roomi Park, Play Land, Children Park Satellite Town, Wild Life Park Lohi Bher, Jinnah Park and Ayub National Park having a small place called jungle kingdom which is a children park where there are many different rides in jungle kingdom. There is a place for skating and remote control boating and jumping jack. There is also a zoo in the park where they have kept a few tigers, cheetahs, lions, bears and peacock. The rest of Ayub Park is mainly used for walking.
There is also a small lake in the Ayub Park where people can do boating.
Meanwhile, the city traffic police had made special arrangements to facilitate the motorists in Murree. The traffic police have stopped a movement of heavy vehicles on the roads leading to Murree to avoid any untoward incident. The additional traffic wardens were deployed in Murree and to ensure smooth flow of traffic at the hill station during the Eid holidays, an official told APP.
