CM says crime rate has decreased in Sindh

Sindh Chief Minister Sayed Qaim Ali Shah has said that crime rate has decreased across the province of Sindh. The province has become peaceful and nobody would be allowed to create trouble here, he claimed.

Speaking at an inauguration ceremony of Command and Control Center, Khairpur, which has been completed with a cost of Rs 150 million, the chief minister told that latest weapons were being provided to the police and honorarium had been increased from Rs 2 million to Rs 5 million for martyred cop while a job for a family member was also being offered. He appreciated the efforts of police and other law enforcement agencies which helped bring peace in the city. He said command and control centers would be establish in other district headquarters to monitor the security system and to curb the terrorist activities. The CM also directed the irrigation department to lay stones at week points of Ullra Jagir Band of Indus River to avoid any breach during the flood season.

Earlier, Khairpur Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi briefed the Sindh chief minister about the center and informed him that 278 closed circuit cameras including 110 cameras at key points of city Khairpur had been installed. Various agencies including police were monitoring and backup footage would remain for one month and the centres would also work for 24 hours, he added.
