Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police arrested 26 suspects of banned outfits for collecting organisational funds during search operations on Friday.
Responding to reports regarding collection of funds by members of defunct organisations, the CTD and police teams conducted joint raids at hotels, inns and different areas of Vehari city and suburbs.
During separate actions, the raiding teams arrested 26 suspects stated to be belonging to banned outfits, engaged in collecting funds for respective organisations and recovered receipts books and cash from their possession.
The police have registered separate cases against the nabbed suspects and they were being interrogated at respective police stations.
