Ramzan is not only the month of fasting but it also teaches us to be patient. Unfortunately, we as a nation are short of this trait. That is why, anything that happened against our will instigate us and we go berserk leaving aside our morality.
Traffic bottlenecks in the last few minutes before iftaar time is the source of people’s agitation. Many motorists are caught up in skirmish while forgetting that they have been fasting. Other place where people vent out their frustration is calling center where regardless the sanctity of the month, most of the callers uses abusive language to show their annoyance.
Using abusive language and useless brawl do not solve any problem rather it only creates nuisance in the society. This is the month of patience showing sympathy with one’s fellowmen. During this holy month, it is important to leave off the tongue from cursing, lying, cheating, idle talk and swearing.
Keeping away from these requires patience which is only acquired through practice. So this Ramzan, why don’t we pledge to practice patience in a bid to enjoy and savor the blessing at the end of this month?
