Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday issued orders to law enforcement agencies to ensure foolproof security measures on Chand Raat and Eidul Fitr throughout the province.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the police should carry out their duties with hard work and dedication to further improve the law and order situation in the province.
Issuing orders to the police and other departments concerned, the chief minister directed them to ensure foolproof security arrangements for Chand Raat and Eidul Fitr at every cost.
CM Sharif also issued instructions to the personnel of police and other law enforcement agencies to be more vigilant on Chand Raat and Eidul Fitr. He said that additional contingent of police force be deployed for security of markets and shopping centers, while senior police officials must keep themselves in the field to review security arrangements on Chand Raat and Eidul Fitr.
The chief minister also instructed the police to take extraordinary security measures for Eid congregation at mosques and imambargahs.
