Poor Condition of National Highway

Being a resident of Model Colony, I have to travel through the National Highway as it happens to be the only route available to people living in adjacent areas. However, a long stretch of the road is in a state of disrepair and needs major maintenance and repair at various points.

Starting from Malir Halt to Malir Bridge near Murghi Khana bus-stop at Quaidabad, both sides of the National Highway are severely broken, while the remaining part of the road which leads to Pakistan Steel Mills and Port Qasim is in a sorry condition.

Resulting in severe traffic snarls and causing higher levels of environmental pollution, the poor state of the road affects several thousands of people using the route on a daily basis.

Considering the main location of the National Highway, I would like to use your newspaper to address the concerned authorities and request that they upgrade the road on an urgentl basis.
