Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Information Secretary Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Monday that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is acting as Goebbels of the Nawaz government and instead of clearing his master’s name of the corruption charges, he is leveling baseless accusations against the PPP leadership.
In a statement Qamar Zaman Kaira said, that if Chaudhry Nisar has any evidence against the PPP leadership then he should approach the courts with them.
“It is ironic that the interior minister is so ignorant of the fact that none of these allegations against the PPP leadership are new. All of them were leveled by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership a long time ago and the courts have honorably acquitted the PPP leadership of all these baseless accusations.
Qamar Zaman Kaira said the interior minister will not be able to hoodwink the people of Pakistan anymore and take attention away from the money laundering of Nawaz Sharif and his family by leveling accusations against his party’s leaders. He said that the PML-N is in the habit of using the judicial system against their political opponents.
“Chaudhry Nisar recently targeted former federal minister Dr Asim Hussain and used state institutions to hold a media trial against him,” Kaira said, and added, “A fake video was also used in the media trial to misguide the people of Pakistan.”
The PPP information secretary said that Nisar should answer questions about the corruption of his master Nawaz Sharif instead of asking questions of the PPP leadership.
“Chaudhry Nisar should realise that his dream of becoming prime minister will not materialise only by leveling baseless accusations against PPP.”
