Mountainous areas warned of possible floods: Met office

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has that rain is expected during Eid in the upper and central areas, despite the hot and humid weather expected in most parts of the country.

Additionally, Met office has warned of floods in the mountainous areas.

Rain/dust-thundershowers is expected scattered places of Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore divisions), KP (Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat divisions) and Kashmir in the next 24 hours.

Rain-thundershowers with isolated heavy falls accompanied by windstorm are expected in scattered places in Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), FATA (Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, North & South Waziristan Agencies), upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions), Kashmir (Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Poonch divisions), while at isolated places in D.G. Khan, Multan, Bannu, D.I Khan divisions in the next 48 hours.
