Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Nisar Khuhro has warned the government to control load-shedding during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays else the government would have to face grave repercussions.
While speaking to media representatives in Karachi, PPP’s Khuhro said during the last elections, Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) government begged for votes on false claims of ending load-shedding from the country within months.
Khuhro continued to insist that it is high time that the government must fulfil its long forgotten pledges.
At the start of the holy month of Ramazan, Federal Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali had claimed that the government was ensuring uninterrupted supply of electricity to 94 per cent areas of the country during Sehr and Iftar times.
However, unscheduled load-shedding was witnessed in many areas of the country even during Sehr and Iftar.
