No load shedding during Eid holidays: ministry

Ministry of Water and Power announced on Monday to provide uninterrupted power supply during three days of Eidul Fitr.

According to officials, due to closure of industries, additional power will be available to meet the demand of domestic consumers.

Power distribution companies have also been directed to make special arrangements for smooth operation and complaint redressal during Eid holidays.

On the other hand, the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations will remain open across Sindh from Tuesday till Sunday.

CNG stations won’t be closed on Wednesday and Friday, the authorities announced.

Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee under Mufti Muneebur Rehman’s supervision on Tuesday will hold a meeting in Lahore to sight the Shawwal moon.

Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will also meet in Islamabad for the same purpose.

Middle Eastern states including Saudi Arabia conducted a session to sight the moon on Monday whereas the experts said that possibilities of moon sighting in Pakistan is high on Tuesday.

Eidul Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, will likely fall on July 6 (Wednesday).

  1. What a bunch of liers… Its been almost 6 hours today since light has gone today on “eid” first day, and we are still waiting for light to come… When I try to call them they do not even attend it
