Jamaat-e-Islami Acting Ameer Liaqat Baloch has said that the failure of foreign and domestic policies of the rulers was increasing the threats to the national security.
Addressing the youth from NA 126 at an Iftar dinner on Sunday, he said that the drone attack in Balochistan was an attack on the country’s independence and sovereignty.
He said that peace and stability were returning to the country because of the Zarb-e-Azab and the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism. He said that the consensus of the national leadership was a great success.
The JI acting chief said that enemies of Pakistan were trying their best to sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project while the government was in the battle field without a foreign minister and a defense minister.
Baloch said that the national security policy had proved to be a failure. He said that India and Afghanistan were carrying out subversive activities with the US support. He said that the government itself was the biggest obstacle in winning the war against terrorism.
He said that the Difa-e-Pakistan Council will hold defense conferences in major cities including Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta and Lahore.
Baloch said that the youth was the real asset of the country and the JI was proud of their natural capabilities. The country’s youth had earned worldwide recognition due to their talent as doctors, engineers, software and hardware engineers, but the corrupt political leadership and the corrupt system were creating despair among the young generation.
He said it was a great blessing that the country’s youth had a deep love for Pakistan and was imbued with the spirit of sacrificing everything for the country. He assured the youth that if they stood united, they would be wielding the reins of power in future. He said the youth would have to free the country from the hold of the corrupt elite.
Meanwhile, Baloch expressed deep grief over the drowning of around 30 people in water current at Chitral and the loss of life of the Chinese engineers and local workers due to the fall of shuttering of a Tarbela Dam extension project.
He urged the KP government and the district government Chitral to step up relief work for the affected families. The JI acting chief also directed the workers and volunteers of the JI and the Al-Khidmat Foundation to intensify their work.
