Unidentified armed men gunned down three members of a family, a couple and their daughter, here on Sunday and fled the scene.
Police said that unidentified armed men barged into a house located in Mithra locality of Peshawar and opened indiscriminate fire at the residents. As a result of firing, head of the house Naseem, his wife Zahra and five-year-old daughter Marriyam, died on the spot.
The culprits managed to flee from the scene of the crime after killed three people. The bodies of the deceased family were shifted to hospital for postmortem.
Police said that the victim family had shifted to the said locality some three days ago and the incident seems to be outcome of personal enmity. However, the police after registering a case against unknown murderers at Mithra police station have started the investigation.
