At least two robbers were killed in a police encounter while four other people were injured in separate incidents of violence on Saturday.
Malir SSP Rao Anwar said the police conducted an operation against the criminals at Super Highway near New Sabzi Mandi. An exchange of fire took place between the outlaws and police in which two Afghan robbers were killed.
The killed robbers were involved in sexual assault during the robbery incidents and their bodies were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
In Korangi Vita Chourangi, three people were injured in firing of guard of a private security company. The injured were shifted to hospital while the police started raids to arrest the security guard at large.
Another person was seriously wounded in firing of armed men in Sherpao Colony of Landhi. The injured was shifted to hospital.
