The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted gusts and severe rains in the next 24 hours in Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore and upper parts of the country, reported Friday.
According to PMD, the monsoon spell will hit Punjab and northern areas from Saturday until Monday after Karachi and Balochistan.
The authorities have warned of severe rains in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Kashmir among other cities.
On the other hand, Karachi will have a partially cloudy day today while the hot weather will persist in plains of Sindh.
Monsoon added to the issues of Sindh metropolitan, Karachi as locals had to endure long power outages due to technical snags and move through roads inundated of stagnated rainwater.
Different drains were flooded and some nearly flooded prompting the Chief Minister, Qaim Ali Shah to chair a meeting that ordered the immediate release of Rs 200 million to clear drains of the city.
