A police man part of Maryam Nawaz’s protocol in Lahore allegedly hit Dr Uzma Khanum, the sister of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
“A policeman punched me. Armed people harassed me,” Uzma claimed.
“I was going to offer Friday prayers with my children when security protocol of Maryam Nawaz stopped us. One of her squad vehicles hit my car. Police personnel pointed guns at us and misbehaved with me and harassed me,” Dr Uzma Khan claimed, while speaking to media.
She said the incident occurred at Gulberg area of Lahore.
“I am in Islamabad & taking off for Lhr shortly. News about my guards or my car is incorrect,” the spokesman quoted Maryam as saying on Twitter.

On the other hand, a Sharif family spokesperson said that Imran Khan’s sister should not follow her brother’s footsteps vis-a-vis lying. “There is no reality in this incident,” the spokesperson added.
Later, PML-N Talal Chaudhry spoke to media. He said there are no reports about such incident, and said Maryam Nawaz was unduly being dragged by Dr Uzma Khan.
“When this incident occurred Maryam was in Islamabad. There might have been some misunderstanding to Dr Fauzia. She shouldn’t blame anyone without confirmation. She must apologise for her baseless allegations,” Chaudhry said.
