Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday directed the government to make arrangements for the return of bodies of nine Pakistanis who were killed in a fire incident in Kuwait on Thursday evening.
A PM House statement said that the secretary human resource and the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation have been asked to work in coordination with Foreign Office or the Pakistani embassy.
Family of Muhammad Asif which included his wife, two sons, two daughters, mother, sister-in-law and a nephew was burnt to death when fire broke out in their house late Thursday night in Farwaniya area.
The prime minister also directed Foreign Office and OPF to establish the identity of deceased, get in touch with their families and keep them updated.
He ordered to provide financial compensation to the bereaved family as an expat worker within three days.
A fire which broke out at a villa housing expatriate workers in Kuwait on Thursday killed nine Pakistani residents including children and injured 23.
