As part of its drive against non-conforming use of residential areas, when a team of the civic agency reached a ‘guesthouse’ under the use of the Federal Board of Revenue in Sector F-6, it faced stiff resistance.

Staff deputed at the guesthouse spurned the CDA enforcement staff arguing that the guesthouse was being used for ‘residential purpose’ and not for commercial purpose as deemed by the civic agency.

The chief administrator of the guesthouse claimed that the civic agency has no right to vacate the building, as according to him the Supreme Court has not specifically ordered to vacate government offices functioning in residential areas.

The FBR staff parked a car in front of the guesthouse, obstructing the CDA staff from sealing the building. Finally, the CDA staff returned empty-handed.

When contacted, a CDA official claimed that the guesthouse will be vacated after Eid.
