Varun Dhawan refused to be drawn into the raging Salman Khan raped woman controversy choosing not to voice his opinions on a public forum. The actor who was spotted at a famous eatery in Mumbai promoting his next, Dishoom opined that those taking sides had their own agendas.
People are choosing sides according to their own agendas. I don’t want to be part of any agenda. I am close enough to express my viewpoint to personally. I will tell him personally. Why will I say it in public.”
Ever since Salman’s controversy broke up, Bollywood has been on a backfoot choosing to remain silent except for Anurag Kashyap and Kangana Ranaut who were vocal in their opinions about Salman having made an insensitive remark. For the moment, the actor is yet to respond to the summons issued by the State Women’s Commission.
