At least nine members of a Pakistani family were burnt to death while one person was injured due to fire in a house in Kuwait City on Thursday.
Reports said that the incident took place in Farwaniya area of Kuwait City where fire initiated due to a short circuit engulfed a house occupied by a Pakistani family.
Nine family members including the head of the family Muhammad Asif, his wife, two sons, two daughters, mother, sister-in-law and a nephew were burnt to death while his brother Tariq was scorched.
The victim family hailed from Mian Channu district of Punjab and was residing in Farwaniya for last 15 years.
Family sources said that arrangements were being made to airlift the bodies back to Pakistan.
