Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma wrapped up the shooting for her home production Phillauri in Punjab on Thursday.
Anushka thanked her team and tweeted:

Co-produced by Clean Slate Films (Anushka’s production banner with brother Karnesh Sharma) and Fox Star Studios, Phillauri is a romantic Hindi film set in Phillaur, Punjab. Directed by debutant Anshai Lal & written by Anvita Dutt, the filmmakers claim that it took “almost 100 years, a crazy Punjabi wedding and rank strangers to complete this love story”.
The romantic comedy is being directed by Anshai Lal and besides Anushka, it also stars Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh and Life of Pi hero Suraj Sharma.
The shooting of the film started after the Punjabi festival of Vaisakhi in April. There is not a release date yet.
CEO of Fox Star Studios Vijay Singh said in a statement, “Phillauri is a story that has its heart in the right place. It has a lot of fun, superb music and loads of desi color. So far, the shoot has gone as we planned. Phillauri is a very special film for us. It is an entertaining movie with a lot of souls that will touch everyone’s heart.”
Anushka made her debut as a producer with 2015 thriller NH 10. She is currently gearing up for her next big release, Sultan opposite Salman Khan. Sultan to release on July 6.
