Four personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) were killed when their vehicle came under attack in Quetta’s Double Road area on Wednesday.
Three personnel died on the spot while another succumbed to injuries on his way to the hospital, an FC spokesman said.
Police officials said the assailants fled away on motorcycles after the attack.
Deputy Inspector General Police Manzoor Sarwar said the incident appeared to be an act of targeted killing. He hinted that there was a link between the recent police killings and this attack on FC personnel in Quetta.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
