SBCA declares 308 buildings dangerous in city

The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has established a rain emergency centre on the directives of its Director General Noor Muhammad.

The residents of those buildings which were declared dangerous by the technical committee of SBCA have been advised to leave the buildings.

According to a survey of SBCA, 308 buildings of the metropolis have been declared dangerous and unsafe due to their dilapidated conditions.

The SBCA has declared an emergency in the department before the upcoming monsoon season. The authority’s staff would remain on duty for 24 hours in three shifts.
