Six people died when a van and a loaded tractor-trolley in Okara collided on Monday.
According to police, an eminent surgeon Abdullah Khalid, his son Muhammad Umar, driver Umer Ali, Rafiq, Nadeem Aftab, Rasheed and Sajid Ali were going to Rahim Yar Khan from Okara in a van when it collided with the tractor-trolley near Khanpur.
As a result, six people lost their lives while one received injuries and was shifted to a local hospital.
Meanwhile in Bahawalnagar, a couple died when a speeding car knocked down a motorcycle on Monday.
According to police, a reckless driven private car hit a motorcycle carrying two people in districy Chishtian of Bahawalpur district. The bike rider husband and wife died on the spot in the accident and the car driver fled the scene after the incident.
The bodies were shifted to hospital where they were handed over to the heirs after postmortem. The police after registering a case against the car driver started raids for his arrest.
