At least five people were killed and two others were injured in a road mishap on National Highway near Matiari District in Sindh on Monday.
According to police, a car en route to Khairpur from Mirpur crashed into an oil tanker coming from the opposite direction on National Highway near new Saeedabad area, killing four persons of the same family and driver of the vehicle.
The victims were identified as 45-year-old Naseeban, 35-year-old Gulistan, 32-year-old Shaista, 40-year-old Abdul Ghani and driver Muhammad Iqbal. The deceased belonged to Tando Masti area of Khairpur.
The rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured and bodies to the nearby hospitals.
