Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday visited the Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and assured him of his son Awais Ali Shah’s safe recovery.
Bilawal also briefed the chief justice about the efforts being made by the provincial government to recover his son as soon as possible.
Before visiting the chief justice, he held an emergency meeting to discuss the law and order situation of the city.
The meeting held at Bilawal House was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, provincial interior minister and the Sindh IGP AD Khawaja.
The IGP briefed Bilawal over the Karachi operation, sources said. The party chairman was briefed over investigation for Awais’s kidnapping and Amjad Sabri’s murder, they said.
Last week, prominent qawwal Sabri was gunned down in the city’s Liaquatabad area while the son of Sindh High Court’s chief justice, Awais was kidnapped from the Clifton area.
