Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday said that the status quo in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is hindering change in the province, adding that there is no corruption in any department in KP.

Khan said that the province did not undergo the kind of change the party intended to bring, but added that change will become evident in KP within the next two years.

Addressing a press conference at the Chief Minister’s (CM) House, Khan said that those who are pointing fingers towards the provincial ministers or departments do not have good intentions themselves.

Khan said that “if the expenses of the Punjab chief minister and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister are compared, it will become clear which of the two is actually serving the people”.

The PTI chairman said that funds were allocated to Akora Khattak Madrasa as the provincial government was making efforts to introduce reforms in seminaries.

He said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif should have undergone medical treatment in one of the hospitals of the country instead of going abroad, adding that the hospitals in Pakistan are as good as those in other countries.

KP CM Pervaiz Khattak and other provincial ministers were also present during the press conference.
