Army chief reviews Karachi situation after recent wave of unrest

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited Rangers Headquarters Karachi Sunday (today) and attended a detailed briefing session on the law and order situation in the metropolis.

The army chief’s visit comes in the wake of the high-profile kidnapping of the Sindh High Court chief justice’s son Awais Shah and the assassination of legendary qawwal Amjad Sabri.

Gen Raheel will later visit Corps Headquarters and attend a briefing on the security situation alongside Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and other high-ranking officials.
