ANF organises walk in connection with int’l Anti-narcotics Day

The District Control Committee for anti-narcotics organised an awareness walk to mark International Anti-Narcotics Day on Sunday. The walk started from the district council premises and culminated at Clock Tower Chowk after passing through the Khaleeq Qureshi Road, Circular Road and Katchary Bazaar.

On the direction of DCO Salman Ghani, the walk was led by Assistant Commissioner (city) Bilawal Abro and Excise and Taxation Director Ahmad Saeed. Community Development EDO Ch Ashraf, Health DO Dr Asif Shahzad, Sports DO Tariq Nazeer, Anti-Narcotics Society Secretary Anwaar Khan, social welfare officers, representatives of NGOs and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), civil defence volunteers, sportsmen and people belonging to different walks of life participated.

The participants were carrying placards and banners inscribed slogan against narcotics. Expressing his views, Bilawal Abro said that narcotics are a curse and is ruining the youngsters. He said that society should come forward collectively to wage a war against the menace of narcotics .He informed that district anti-narcotics committee was working to raise awareness against the use of narcotics.
