Hot on the heels of his suspension from the PTI’s Ulema Wing and the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Abdul Qawi’s membership has also been suspended from his house in Multan by Mrs Abdul Qawi.

“Till further notice,” read the circular made available to Khabaristan Today, “Mufti Abdul Qawi’s membership of the household is hereby suspended. A special investigative commission will decide the peculiarities of the charges against him.”

“The suspension includes a complete ban on his entrance into the house, his collection of the fees slips of his three cell-phone accounts and his citing the address as the maujooda pata when filling out forms.”

The suspension has been appealed against by the Mufti and he has already filed said appeal. “Have some mercy on me,” read the application. “Where will I even go?”

Sources in the Multan household, on the condition of anonymity, toldKhabaristan Today that “perhaps the Mufti could go to any one of the possible 17 places that might put him up. Perhaps he could even go back to Karachi and manage an 18th camp office.”
