14 FATA teachers found involved in sectarianism, anti-state activities

As many as 14 teachers belonging to the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) are found involved in acts of sectarianism and anti-state activities in the tribal areas.

The political administration of Kurram Agency said on Saturday that the security sources in a dossier dispatched to the additional chief secretary reveals that 14 teachers in Upper and Lower Dir were involved in extremism from 2007 to 2011.

The teachers are accused of preaching sectarianism and possessing explosive materials. The political administration of Kurram Agency sought permission from the FATA secretariat to take action against the teachers.
