At least 38 suspects including three Lyari gangsters were apprehended during search operations in different areas of Karachi on Friday.
Meanwhile, the police raided a hideout in PIB Colony and arrested an alleged gangster in injured condition.
The gangster identified as Shahzaib jumped off a four-storey building to avoid arrest. He was wanted to the police in murder and attempt to murder cases. Meanwhile, the police carried out search operations in Singoo Lane and Rangiwara area of Lyari and apprehended two alleged gangsters identified as Haider Dada and Abdullah. Police also claimed to have recovered weapons and drugs from the suspects’ possession. The suspects were involved in extortion, target killing and street crimes. Dada had recently reached Karachi from Iran, the police said.
Meanwhile, the police conducted search operations in Liaquatabad, Azizabad and New Karachi and rounded up 35 suspects.
