Information Minister Pervez Rashid has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has awarded Rs 300 million to a madrassa nurturing and breeding terrorists.
“Khan gave Rs 300 million to a terrorist breeding seminary ‘Darul Uloom Haqqania’. It has sent a wave of serious concern among people,” he said while talking to media on Thursday after his visit to thalassemia centre at PIMS.
He held that Khan has not given replies to the questions related to his flat.
On the other hand, questions raised by Imran Khan about the bank accounts of Nawaz Sharif have been made part of the TORs. No offshore company is operating in the name of Nawaz Sharif; therefore, his name cannot be included in the TORs, he said.
Those asking for accountability for others hold offshore companies in their names, he said. The minister underlined that people talking of politics of agitation were afraid of their defeat in 2018 general elections.
While expressing sorrow over the killing of star Qawwal Amjid Sabri, the minister said that he was shocked to hear about the murder.
“Amjid Sabri was an ambassador of peace in the entire world. Those who killed him were enemy of the religion. Sabri was a staunch lover of the holy Prophet (PBUH). Those who killed him would be brought to justice,” he said.
He said that the situation in Karachi has improved considerably, but a handful of terrorists were carrying out terror acts to make their presence felt.
“Soon the country will be cleansed of all terrorists and miscreants,” he said, adding that the terrorists were now hitting key figures through targeted attacks.
He stated that the prime minister will soon return and he was discharging his obligations despite being unwell. PM will be accorded a warm welcome on his arrival, he added.
