Pakistan has been elected unopposed to the Executive Committee of Commonwealth Board of Governors for the term 2016-2018.
The election was held during the annual meeting of the Board of Governors.
The executive committee, comprising a selected group of member countries oversees matters related to finance and administration of the Commonwealth Secretariat.
Pakistan is also a member of Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group and the Executive Committee of Commonwealth Foundation.
