Lawyers in Islamabad and Rawalpindi Friday went on a strike against the kidnapping of Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice’s son Owais Shah.
The call for the strike was given by the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC).
The lawyers completely boycotted the court proceedings. As a result of which several important cases were adjourned without a hearing.
In Islamabad, the protest was staged in the district courts.
Lawyers’ communities adopted a stance that the federal and provincial governments should review the law and order situation in the country and ensure the protection of life and property of the citizens.
They also demanded that the SHC Chief Justice’s son should be recovered soon.
