The opening of the judicial front before Eid and mass contact after Eid has been announced by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the government as the party filed a disqualification reference against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with the Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday (today).
PTI’s member, Yasmin Rashid who contested the election against Nawaz Sharif in NA-120, filed the reference against the prime minister. According to PTI Secretary Information Naeem-ul-Haq, the reference has been filed on the basis of the Panama leaks under sections 62, 63 of the Constitution. He said that a legal front was being opened now and they would take to the streets after Eid.
He said that a mass contact campaign would be launched through meetings and rallies after Eid. Naeem-ul-Haq said that the Raiwind sit-in would be the last option before using other ways in this regard. He further said that all including Awami National Party would be on board during this campaign.
