Rangers and police stepped up operations in Karachi after the murder of renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri on Wednesday and arrested three accused, including a target killer, during search operations in different parts of the city on night between Wednesday and Thursday.
According to details, Rangers conducted a search operation in Gharibabad area and carried out house-to-house search and detained several suspects. On the other hand, police carried out an operation in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area and arrested a target killer named Asad Ali. According to SSP East, Faisal Abdullah, the arrested target killer was involved in murder of three persons in Pak Colony and he was also wanted in 17 cases of robberies. Police also arrested two accused in injured condition after an encounter in Alfalah area. Police sources said that the arrested accused were looting people in the area.
