Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be awarding central contracts to at least 30 players after the conclusion of England tour.

According to PCB spokesperson, the central contracts are due to expire on June 30. “The Board will be awarding new contracts to players for six month period (July 1 to December 31, 2016) with 10 to 15% raise,” he said.

He said some new players, who were performing well, would also be given central contracts. “Performance of the players will be observed in the series against England,” he said.

The Pakistan cricket team is up against England for a lengthy series comprising four Tests, five ODIs and a Twenty20.

This will be the first assignment for new head coach Mickey Arthur, while it will see the return of Muhammad Amir in England after the infamous spot-fixing scandal in 2010.
