SC reserves verdict on Interior Ministry plea against removal of Ayyan Ali’s name from ECL

The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its judgment on Interior Ministry plea against removal of famous model Ayyan Ali’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

The three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed heard the case. The court expressed annoyance over the attitude of Latif Khosa counsel for Ayyan Ali and asked him to not dictate the court.

Latif Khosa told the court that Ayyan Ali was not allowed to travel abroad despite its clear directions.

The Additional Attorney General told the court that two applications were pending before Sindh High Court regarding

removal of model’s name from ECL.

He pleaded the court to not announce final verdict in the case till decision of petitions pending before Sindh High Court.
