ATS commando commits suicide after killing two persons

A personnel of the Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Wednesday night committed suicide after killing two persons including a woman and injuring an other through firing in an area of Banigala Police Station.

According to police, a personnel of Islamabad ATS Police Muhammad Mehmood who was reportedly a resident of Bahawalnagar entered a house in Durrani Street of Banigala  area and opened firing on housekeepers.

As a result, two people including Muhammad Arshad and Irum Iqbal died on the spot while Gul Nisar sustained  injuries.

Later, the ATS commando committed suicide by shooting himself on the head.

Mehmood was previously a tenant of Muhammad Arshad.  Arshad later vacated his house from the ATS personnel, which led to the dispute.

The body of the deceased and the injured have been shifted to the hospital for an autopsy and medical treatment respectively where the conditions of the injured was reported to be critical.

Police registered a case and started further investigations.
