Amjad Sabri preferred Karachi over London despite life threats, says uncle

One of the uncles of slain Sufi singer Amjad Sabri said that he had invited Sabri to visit him in London but he did not take his suggestion into consideration.

Sabri was a resident of Liaqatabad, where he stayed in his ancestral house.

According to his uncle, Sabri had been receiving death threats for quite some time now, which is why he had asked his nephew to come to London and spend Ramzan there. When asked to move out of his locality he said, ‘ Whatever I am is because of Liaqatabad.’

“Even if I sneeze ,the whole neighbourhood gathers, so moving away would mean moving away from the love I get here,’ he added.
