Physical remand of mother and brother-in-law of the teenager, Zeenat Rafiq, who was torched by her family for marrying a man of her choice, has been extended for further four days by an anti-terrorism court.
Factory Area police investigating officer produced Parveen Bibi and Muhammad Zafar before the court and said further custody of the accused was required to complete investigation into the murder of the girl. The court accepted the request and extended the remand of the suspects for another four days.
Police registered a murder case against the suspects. Police also obtained physical remand of the victims’ brother the other day.
