Former Punjab governor and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab leader Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) is committing target-killing of the poor by poverty and unemployment.
He further said that the rulers have adopted anti-poor policies, adding that the country cannot move ahead without eradication of the corrupt system and accountability. No good can be expected from the present rulers. Government is looting poor people in the month of Ramzan despite tall claims. The government keeps claiming that country is heading towards prosperity but in fact prosperity is nowhere to be seen, he said.
He said that heavy rain in Lahore has revealed the false claims of rulers. The entire city is drowning and people are floating in miserable state of distress. No one is present to help the citizens and solve the post-rain problems. PTI will stand along the Pakistan Army in war on terror in next phase, the former governor said while, addressing the Ramzan Package distribution ceremony among the needy at his residence.
Opposition Leader Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed, Mian Khalid Javed, Amir Rehman, Umer Aftab Dhillon, Chaudhry Muhammad Ishfaq, youth wing leader Sheraz Cheema, chacha cricket Abdul Jaleel and others were also present.
Muhammad Sarwar said that unnecessary expenditure of billion of rupees on unneeded projects have surged unemployment and poverty in the country. Opposition Leader Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed said that government has disappeared from the country because rulers are running the country without abiding by the constitution.
People have no other option except suicide due to the attitude of rulers. Rulers are spending billions of rupees on metro projects instead of providing basic facilities to the people. Government subsidy is nothing more than fraud. PTI will bring prosperity and development by coming into power, he said.
PTI leader Ejaz Chaudary said that a day will come when people will get rid of the corrupt rulers and a people’s government will be formed under the dynamic leadership of Imran Khan and it will bring prosperity in the country.
