Sad State of Working Conditions of Educational Institutes of Pakistan

It is indeed disillusioning to see that the employees working in educational institutes of Pakistan are subjected to uncongenial working conditions. They are deprived of adequate facilities and privileges commensurate with their qualifications, skill-set, effort and hard-work.  What is most unfortunate is that the teachers, who are deemed to be the backbone of educational institutes, are not provided an access to sound and adequate intrinsic and extrinsic organisational rewards. They are overburdened with intense workload but are not rewarded accordingly.

Teachers in educational institutes are seemed to be investing their intense energies and effort in executing their assigned tasks even amidst extreme weather conditions. It has been largely observed in the private schools of Pakistan that the teachers are not provided with the compensation packages commensurate with their qualifications and work nature. The salaries and other incentives provided to them are indeed inadequate. They are seemed to be rendering services under extreme heat wave even during Ramadan without proper facilities of air-conditioners and other cooling appliances. It sounds indeed inhuman on part of the management of such educational institutes.

Considering such grave scenario, there stands a dire need for the government authorities to take notice of this anomaly, and implement effective strategies to overcome it. Teachers in the educational institutes should be extended respect and care by provision of adequate and sound facilities.
