The bodies of three people, including a woman and child, were found in a canal located near Adiala Jail.
A passerby spotted the bodies near Gorakhpur Bridge and informed the police. The police rushed to the area and shifted the bodies to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The police collected the evidence from the area. The police said that the three persons were murdered after which their bodies were thrown in the canal. The deceased were members of the same family while it seemed that they were killed because of an old enmity.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained.
