The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has been running without its head for two and half months.
According to media reports, the contract of former PTDC managing director (MD) Chaudhry Kabir Khan expired two and a half months ago on April 6 but an acting MD has not been appointed so far while the tourists’ season, especially in Naran Kaghan has begun from May 1.
The MD will be appointed with the approval of the prime minister. The decision for extension or renewal in the service of former MD has been taken but neither the notification has been issued nor has new head been appointed.
