The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has said that Pakistan is on track to end power load shedding in two years. This was stated by the Bank’s Country Director to Pakistan Werner Liepach in Islamabad.

He said it is possible to bring an end to power outages early; however, it depends on other factors such as global oil prices. Werner Liepach said the ADB is broadly satisfied with progress being made in the energy sector.
