Pakistan Team Chief Selector Inzamam ul Haq will join Pakistan in August from the fourth Test onwards against England.
The former skipper was initially supposed to travel with the national side on the tour, however, the board altered these plans to avoid unnecessary expenses. “Inzamam will travel to England after the third Test and stay there for the final Test at the Oval, the one-day series and the T20I match,” a PCB official said.
“Inzamam himself wanted to watch the players in action in English conditions so that he could be in a better position to evaluate as to which player will be required for the limited over matches,” he added.
Since his appointment as chief selector, the Multan-born has been closely involved with preparations for tour of England by working closely with Test captain Misbahul Haq and newly appointed head coach Mickey Arthur in the lead-up to the series.
