Hot weather settles as rain lashes out in parts of Punjab

Hot weather has settled down in different parts of Punjab after heavy rain, while some areas were left waterlogged, reported Tuesday.

A tent for Ramzan bazaar in Gujranwala gave in against gusts and was uprooted while several roads in Daska were waterlogged owing to the downpour.

During Sehr timings in the early morning today, rains in Islamabad and surroundings turned the weather pleasant.

The weather remained hot and dry in most of the country except Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Islamabad, FATA and Kashmir in the last 24 hours.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, rain-thundershower (with isolated heavy falls) accompanied by gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Hazara, Malakand, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, divisions, FATA, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during evening or night.

Rain-thundershower with gusts is also expected at isolated places in Bannu, D.I Khan, D.G Khan, Sahiwal, Multan, Mirpurkhas divisions.
